Prana Mela - 3 Days of Music, Community, and Yoga | May 1st - 3rd
Join us for Prana Mela, a three-day gathering devoted to music, wellness, and community at AyurPrana Listening Room.
Inspired by the spirit of connection and renewal, Prana Mela brings together live music, healing arts, nourishing food, and meaningful time together in a vibrant and welcoming setting.
Throughout the weekend, we’ll host three ticketed evening concerts:
Friday, May 1st, Simrit Acoustic Ensemble - 6PM
Friday, May 1st, Simrit Full Band Performance - 8PM
** SIMRIT will perform two events on May 1st: an Acoustic Ensemble Performance and an evening show. Please note each ticket before you purchase, to ensure you're purchasing the event you wish to attend **
Sunday, May 2nd, GurGanesha Band with Paloma Devi, 7PM
The weekend culminates with a Sunday Community Kirtan at noon, inviting everyone to come together in shared song and meditation.

Chef Sean from SoHum Mountain Healing Resort, who will offer a nourishing vegetarian based food pop-up with wellness mocktails and refreshments through lunch time and into the evening on Saturday, May 2nd.

In addition to the music, Prana Mela will feature certain donation based programming that will benefit WNC Nonprofit, Bounty & Soul.

The Flamingo Revue, perennially hailed as Charlotte’s Best Performing Artists, return home to the Visulite Theatre on May 2nd, 2026 for ELECTRIC FLAMINGOS, a gritty and glittery exploration of the neo-industrial, dystopian hellscape of the Cyberpunk genre through the lens of burlesque.

Taking inspiration from a wealth of sources across film, literature, gaming, and music, the Flock and some dear friends are excited to paint the Queen City pink and chrome. Tickets are on sale now, so take the red pill and join us in seeing just how far down the rabbit hole goes.

The French Broad River Paddle Trip returns this spring as a collaboration between MountainTrue, Headwaters Outfitters, and Food for Adventures for an unforgettable 3-day float down the river in Transylvania County.

During this 32-mile trip, you’ll experience a beautiful section of river, learn about local stewardship, eat tasty food and drink local beer, camp under the stars, meet new friends, and come away with a new appreciation for this amazing place.

Registration includes boats (if you need), meals, drinks (including local beer!), campsites, shuttle, and a variety of entertainment. Guests will need to bring their own personal items and camping gear.
Proceeds will be split between the organizations.

The word craft-itarianism was coined by 2026 Center for Craft Curatorial Fellow Alyssa Velazquez to name artistic projects that generate employment, raise awareness, or offer therapeutic support through craft. These programs provide a space where people affected by addiction, incarceration, and gun violence can find solidarity while learning a skill.

Craft-itarianism: Community Action Through Craft celebrates nonprofits and artists who believe in—and actively practice—the power of craft to support and empower individuals and communities.

This exhibition was curated by 2026 Center for Craft Curatorial Fellow Alyssa Velazquez. Launched in 2017, the Curatorial Fellowship supports emerging curators exploring new ideas about craft with mentorship, professional development, and a $5,000 honorarium to realize an exhibition.

This is an exhibition of multiple artists works as they pertain to the interpretation of relationships between color and mood. Consider the emotional power of color and the way it evokes story, atmosphere and meaning. This exhibition hopes to reveal a playful and experimental interaction through color's ability to shape perceptions and influence emotions. 

The Greer Farmers Market is excited to invite the community back to Greer City park in 2026 for their 11th season in Greer.

Food Programs: Greer Farmers Market is proud to be a SNAP Retailer and Healthy Bucks site. We have a Healthy Kids/POP Club Program where we offer produce vouchers and education for children at the market. We encourage anyone wanting to utilize these programs to join us during our market dates.

All year access to fresh local foods and community. The Greer Farmers Market has been an integral part of Downtown Greer since 2015. Our market serves a diverse shopper base consisting of young families, professionals, and seniors. The Greer Farmers Market is a non-profit 501c3 farmers market in the State of South Carolina. Our mission is to support local farmers, bakers, and hand-made businesses by providing an accessible platform to sell in-season items directly to Greer’s residents and visitors.

Glitter, glam, and giving back? The award-winning Bearded Lady Productions team returns to New Belgium Brewing on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at 1:00 p.m for a free community show. Mel and Gena offer a unique experience you won’t find anywhere else in Asheville. All cake decorating tools are provided, including a box and a bag to take your design home.
