CAITLIN KRISKO & THE BROADCAST

Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast, led by Detroit native Caitlin Krisko, blend soulful blues, rock and roll, and emotionally charged songwriting into a bold take on modern roots rock. Rolling Stone called Krisko “one of the best kept vocal secrets of the southeast.”
Independently, the band has surpassed one million streams and released two self-produced EPs, landing singles on coveted Spotify editorial playlists including “Blue Ballads” and “Modern Blues Rock.” On the road, they’ve shared stages with Marcus King, Blackberry Smoke, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Greta Van Fleet, while also appearing at major festivals across the US and UK. In 2026, the band was nominated for Best International Artist at the UK Blues Awards, leading towards a busy year of touring internationally and releasing new music.

The Greer Farmers Market is excited to announce the return of its Annual Chili Cookoff Fundraiser, happening Sunday, November 15, 11AM-2PM at Greer City Park.
This year’s event will feature more than 45 local farmers, makers, and bakers, alongside live music, food trucks, and family-friendly fun.
The highlight of the day is the Chili Cookoff, where community members can sample delicious chili recipes and cast their vote for the best. Taste tickets are just $1 each—purchase one ticket per contestant to try them all. Every ticket purchase supports the Greer Farmers Market and its food assistance programs.
Chili tasters will receive a voting stick to cast their ballot for the People’s Choice Award (votes must be submitted by 1:30 PM). In addition, a panel of expert judges will select the Judges’ Choice Award winner. Winners will be announced during the ceremony at 1:45 PM.
Competitors will continue serving chili until 2:00 PM or until sold out, so guests are encouraged to come hungry and try them all. Tickets and voting will be available at the Greer Farmers Market booths.

Bring the whole family to enjoy an evening of local shopping, great food, and community spirit. All vendors are local within 50 miles of Greer, making this event a true celebration of Greer and the Upstate.

About the Greer Farmers Market
Since its founding in 2015, the Greer Farmers Market has grown from a small gathering of 10 vendors on Trade Street to a thriving non-profit 501(c)(3) organization hosting year-round events at Greer City Park. Today, the market regularly features over 70 vendors and welcomes more than 2,000 attendees at peak events. Seasonal markets are held weekly from May through August and monthly from September through April, culminating in the annual 2-day Christmas Festival.

The Greenville Jazz Collective (GJC) preserves and promotes jazz in Upstate South Carolina. Flat Rock, N.C. – The Friends of Music & the Arts series at the Episcopal Church of St.
John in the Wilderness prepares for the Christmas season with a return performance by
pianist Thomas Keesecker, Sunday, November 15 at 4:00 p.m. Open to the public, the free
concert will be held in the spacious Parish Hall opposite the church at 1905 Greenville
Highway, Flat Rock.
Thomas Keesecker has spent most of his career as Director of Music for churches in
Virginia, Maryland and Montana. In 2017, he decided to focus on composing and
performing his music throughout the country. His distinctive style combines classical
foundations with jazz improvisation. Celtic and folk influences lend a special charm to
his inspiring compositions.
Mr. Keesecker entertained an enthusiastic audience in May, 2025 in the Parish Hall and this
November his performance will feature music of Harvest, Advent and Christmas from
Keesecker’s CDs “Wintertide” and the “Quiet Center.” He introduces these pieces with
anecdotes about his years in music ministry interspersed with the beloved poetry of Mary
Oliver. Audiences delight in his expressive arrangements that bring hymn music to life.
MorningStar has published his award-winning CDs which are also available on most
streaming platforms.
