Hot Rize

WNCW’s Joe Kendrick spoke with e-Town’s Nick Forster about the changes that the coronavirus pandemic have brought to his nationally syndicated radio show, and the venue e-Town Hall in Colorado where the show was recorded in front of a live studio audience. Forster, also a founding member of the group Hot Rize, speaks at length about how his operation has fared during the crisis, and reveals what their future course will be now that no shows can happen in person.   The 2018 International Bluegrass Music Award Ceremony was held last week in Raleigh, North Carolina at The Duke Energy Center for Performing Arts. The event was hosted by one of WNCW's favorite bands, HOT RIZE. Many of the IBMA musicians are long time friends of our grassroots, listener-powered radio station and we want to take time and congratulate the winners - Job well done!

On our Bluegrass voyage this weekend, we celebrate the birthdays of Larry Sparks, Shawn Lane, the late Charles Sawtelle of Hot Rize, Steve Gulley and others. We'll also feature the new Earls of Leicester Live CD from the Country Music Hall Of Fame! Join Hosts Joe Greene and Todd Baldwin every Saturday from 11am 'til 7pm for Goin' Across The Mountain, on your listener-supported, grassroots radio station WNCW.

eTown Host and Co-founder, Nick Forster, talks with WNCW's Program Director, Joe Kendrick, about the show eTown, the upcoming event eTown On The Road with Josh Ritter & Mandolin Orange, being part of the band Hot Rize and more.
