WNCW has been partnering with Chimney Rock State Park for many, many years. We share the same county... Rutherford County, NC in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. The folks at Chimney Rock say this about their incredible state park:"Chimney Rock. It’s one part living classroom, one part outdoor gym. With ample opportunities to learn and explore, along with hiking trails, climbing opportunities, and exciting ways to break a sweat and stay fit, you’re in for a bit of learning, and a bit of fitness."

Chimney Rock State Park will be all a-buzz on Saturday, April 27th as Bee City USA comes to spend the day. Phyllis Stiles, Director of Bee City USA, a program of the Center for Honeybee Research and the Rutherford County Beekeepers Association, will provide a day of fun activities and information about honeybees, their dwindling numbers and what you can do to help these vital members of the insect population.  Tune in Thursday to hear about a fun day for the whole family at Chimney Rock and an ecological issue that we all have to face.
