Weds are for free comedy!

Asheville Longest Running stand up comedy Open mic, The Disclaimer Stand Up lounge now At Third Room.
Disclaimer Comedy has been producing comedy shows in Asheville for over a decade. Bringing in the likes of Rory Scovel, Hannibal Burress, Tom Segura, and more. But, The Disclaimer's Pride and Joy has always been "The Disclaimer Stand Up Lounge Comedy Open-Mic". A sign up, go up open mic. With a wild roster of Asheville comics, Traveling comics, FIRST TIMERS, comics on Netflix, Comedy Central, Dry Bar, Don't tell, to comics who have probably been on COPS a few times. It's a real grab bag variety show, and home to a lot of talented creators in the southeast.

MTN VIBEZ Presents Latin Night every Wednesday. Dance Lessons 8:30-9 PM-All Skill Levels and All Latin Genres-Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cumbia, Reggaeton. Open dance is from 9 pm-midnight.

Join our intercultural summer day camps where children 6-12 years old explore music creation, international dance, music instrument building, and other forms of art in a joyful and supportive environment. Each child receives personal attention and a meaningful creative experience.

*This is a 2- Part process and 2 appointments must be made to complete the process.

Part 1: Investing - Reserve your 30 minute time slot to invest a flask on Wednesday evening.

Part 2: Casting: Reserve your 30 minute time slot to cast your pieces on Thursday morning.

Some experience or basic knowledge required or take our Sessions: Wax Carving and Casting.

Must have pieces sprued prior to Part 1 (investing).. Bring your tree prepared or attend Open Studio prior.

Masks required during entire process- BYO or $3. Flask size 4 inches high by 2 inches wide.

Reserve your time slot to vacuum cast. Proper Safety Gear must be worn at all times!

Metal used is not included, but may be available for purchase.

Metals used limited to: Gold/Silver/Bronze

The word craft-itarianism was coined by 2026 Center for Craft Curatorial Fellow Alyssa Velazquez to name artistic projects that generate employment, raise awareness, or offer therapeutic support through craft. These programs provide a space where people affected by addiction, incarceration, and gun violence can find solidarity while learning a skill.

Craft-itarianism: Community Action Through Craft celebrates nonprofits and artists who believe in—and actively practice—the power of craft to support and empower individuals and communities.

This exhibition was curated by 2026 Center for Craft Curatorial Fellow Alyssa Velazquez. Launched in 2017, the Curatorial Fellowship supports emerging curators exploring new ideas about craft with mentorship, professional development, and a $5,000 honorarium to realize an exhibition.

Resources For Resilience is an Asheville-based nonprofit organization sharing practical tools and research-based resources for individuals, teams, and communities to manage stress and prevent burnout.

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, we are offering FREE educational programming, workshops, and trainings.

The 30th Annual Upstate Shakespeare Festival in beautiful Falls Park in downtown Greenville, SC features A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM opening May 21st, 2026 and runs through June 21st, followed by THE TWO NOBLE KINSMEN running July 9th – 25th. This is not your English teacher's Shakespeare! Bring your dog, your kids, your cousin's wife's best friend, or a bottle of wine and a picnic basket. Admission is free and open to the public, and donations are greatly appreciated. Performances are Thursdays - Sundays at 7pm and run approximately 90 minutes with no intermission, weather permitting.
