After a pandemic isolation that had each bandmate separated from each other in Costa Rica, Arizona, Colorado, New York, and Tennessee, Rising Appalachia was able to unite briefly in Asheville for a livestream and a one-day recording studio reconnection jam. The result was enough material to make this improvisational album of Appalachian, African, and other explorations.
