In December of 2021, a group of all-star musicians from North Carolina got together to perform the music of John Prine in Elkin, NC. The show was supposed to be a one-off night sponsored by The Reeves Theater and Cafe, but the musicians quickly realized there was a very special and unique ‘magic’ happening on stage that evening. Since then, The Tree of Forgiveness Band has performed in venues through NC and VA, including RoosterWalk Festival, and will be performing inside the Bluegrass Caverns at The Cave Fest in Tennessee in October of 2023.

The Tree of Forgiveness Band - A Tribute to John Prine performs music that spans the life and career of Mr. John Prine. From his first album in 1971, John Prine, up to his final 2018 release The Tree of Forgiveness, the band digs into both well-known classics such as “Illegal Smile,” “Sam Stone,” “Angel From Montgomery” and “Grandpa Was A Carpenter” to some of his ‘deep cuts’ such as “Bruised Orange” and “Egg & Daughter Nite.”

The band features Tommy Jackson (keys/piano) from The Camel City Yacht Club, Joey Recchio (guitar), Ashley Sutton (bass), Brian Swenk (banjo) from Big Daddy Love, Chris “Silk” Terry (drums) from Silk Groove Revue, Kate Carson-Groner (accordion) from The Reeves House Band, Luke Mears (guitar) from The Luke Mears Band, and Josh Casstevens (electric guitar) from Mood Cultivation Project.

These musicians all have decades of experience performing on a professional level throughout the country, and there’s an undeniable magic when they get together on stage and perform the music of Mr. John Prine.

The Greer Farmers Market is excited to invite the community back to Greer City park in 2026 for their 11th season in Greer.
Core Season: Each Sunday, 11AM-2PM, April 26-October 4.

Shop with over 40 farmers, makers, and bakers, plus live music, food trucks, and unique activities. Enjoy shopping under tree canopy at the 12-acre Greer City Park: featuring paved sidewalks, shuttle service from parking lots, bathrooms, sidewalks, open fields, stunning fountains, and a playground for kids. Within walking distance find shops and restaurants on Trade St. in downtown Greer, all nestled in the rolling foothills of the Upstate. Join us once and you will return again!

Food Programs: Greer Farmers Market is proud to be a SNAP Retailer and Healthy Bucks site. We have a Healthy Kids/POP Club Program where we offer produce vouchers and education for children at the market. We encourage anyone wanting to utilize these programs to join us during our market dates.

All year access to fresh local foods and community. The Greer Farmers Market has been an integral part of Downtown Greer since 2015. Our market serves a diverse shopper base consisting of young families, professionals, and seniors. The Greer Farmers Market is a non-profit 501c3 farmers market in the State of South Carolina. Our mission is to support local farmers, bakers, and hand-made businesses by providing an accessible platform to sell in-season items directly to Greer’s residents and visitors.

Disclaimer Comedy has been producing comedy shows in Asheville for over a decade. Bringing in the likes of Rory Scovel, Hannibal Burress, Tom Segura, and more. But, The Disclaimer's Pride and Joy has always been "The Disclaimer Stand Up Lounge Comedy Open-Mic". A sign up, go up open mic. With a wild roster of Asheville comics, Traveling comics, FIRST TIMERS, comics on Netflix, Comedy Central, Dry Bar, Don't tell, to comics who have probably been on COPS a few times. It's a real grab bag variety show, and home to a lot of talented creators in the southeast.
