See the Fine Art That Ignites the Floral Designs

Before the flowers arrive, immerse yourself in the fine art that serves as the heartbeat of the 20th Annual Art in Bloom. From June 1–17 (10 am – 5 pm), our gallery features a curated collection of works from WNC’s top talent. This exhibit is the essential first chapter of the series, allowing you to see the specific paintings and sculptures that our floral designers will soon interpret into living arrangements.

Join GCCA for the first Friday of the month for our NightShifts. Every month you can enjoy new gallery exhibitions, studio artists, performing arts series, demos, and more. It is free to attend and open to all ages. After you’ve visited, hop over to other open galleries and restaurants in the West Village or Downtown Greenville!

Time: 5:00 - 8:00pm

Two exceptions for the months of August and November:
- There will be no Nightshifts during the month of August as we will be combining it with Art Bash and Annual Showcase held on the 1st of the month.
- Nightshifts in November will be held on the 13th (the second Friday of the month & the week after our annual fundraiser).

Asheville’s original drag bingo experience is bringing a wave of fun with a Beach Bingo Fundraiser on Friday, June 5th, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hilltop Event Center. This sun-soaked evening of laughter, lucky numbers, and seaside sparkle benefits the YWCA of Asheville. Tickets start at $20, include bingo cards, and are available now at BeardedLadyProductions.org. Ages 21+.

Hosted by the bearded beauties, Divine, The Bearded Lady and Natasha Noir Nightly, this lively night features six splashy rounds of bingo, high-energy drag entertainment, and prizes that are shore to make a splash. Expect beachy camp, splashy performances, and just enough tropical chaos to keep the room buzzing from first call to final number.

Attendees are encouraged to embrace beach bingo realness—sequins and sunglasses, sandals and sass, kaftan cabana chic or full mermaid glam. Sun-kissed divas and glitter-drenched lifeguard looks are all welcome as guests show up in style to support the YWCA of Asheville.

Iron Light is the Western North Carolina Sculpture Center’s signature cast‑iron sculpture residency and public arts gathering, combining intensive artist collaboration with hands‑on community engagement. Held annually, Iron Light brings visiting and resident sculptors together on site for mold‑making, iron pour preparation, fabrication, and installation, culminating in a dramatic public iron pour where visitors can watch molten iron transformed into sculpture in real time. Community participation is central to the event, with opportunities for the public to engage alongside artists through demonstrations, iron tile and mold activities, and artist talks. The event atmosphere is celebratory and inclusive, featuring live music, food trucks, and family‑friendly programming, making Iron Light both an artistic spectacle and a social gathering that connects people to the creative process through fire, metal, and shared experience.

12pm-4pm: Scratch Block Mold Workshop - make your own mold to be poured during the event ($75)

A Night of Jazz Age History, Literature, and Classical Music in Black Mountain

Experience the life and legacy of Zelda Fitzgerald at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts on Saturday, June 6th. Save Me the Waltz is a unique performance piece that interweaves the dramatic history of Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald with world-class, live music from the Cafe String Quartet.

By attending this evocative event, you’ll immerse yourself in the feminine energies of the woman who painted, danced, and wrote her way through the 1920s. This performance honors Zelda’s artistic brilliance and her fight for autonomy against the backdrop of the Jazz Age, offering a deep dive into the true story behind the "Original Flapper" and literary legend. Through a blend of historical narrative and period-specific classical compositions, guests will enjoy a sophisticated evening that celebrates both our regional history and the vibrant local arts scene in historic Black Mountain.

The Greer Farmers Market is excited to invite the community back to Greer City park in 2026 for their 11th season in Greer.

Food Programs: Greer Farmers Market is proud to be a SNAP Retailer and Healthy Bucks site. We have a Healthy Kids/POP Club Program where we offer produce vouchers and education for children at the market. We encourage anyone wanting to utilize these programs to join us during our market dates.

All year access to fresh local foods and community. The Greer Farmers Market has been an integral part of Downtown Greer since 2015. Our market serves a diverse shopper base consisting of young families, professionals, and seniors. The Greer Farmers Market is a non-profit 501c3 farmers market in the State of South Carolina. Our mission is to support local farmers, bakers, and hand-made businesses by providing an accessible platform to sell in-season items directly to Greer’s residents and visitors.

HOLLAND NEGATIVE & THE BOG W/ SPECIAL GUEST DOUG MCELVY Leaning heavily on Southern-gothic themes and with an all-star of local musicians, Holland Negative draws on his experiences growing up in WNC to shape his songwriting. His debut EP Live! Uninvited! was released in 2025 and his second, Break Even, was released in 2026.
