Joseph “Monk” Boudreaux is the oldest living Mardi Gras Indian Chief, in a tradition traced back to the 1800’s through bloodlines of both African and Native American ancestry. This album was recorded in both Kingston, Jamaica, and Houma, Louisiana, with Tab Benoit , Michael Doucet, and Johnny Sansone among others, and comes out May 21st.
