The French Broad River Paddle Trip returns this spring as a collaboration between MountainTrue, Headwaters Outfitters, and Food for Adventures for an unforgettable 3-day float down the river in Transylvania County.

During this 32-mile trip, you’ll experience a beautiful section of river, learn about local stewardship, eat tasty food and drink local beer, camp under the stars, meet new friends, and come away with a new appreciation for this amazing place.

Registration includes boats (if you need), meals, drinks (including local beer!), campsites, shuttle, and a variety of entertainment. Guests will need to bring their own personal items and camping gear.
Proceeds will be split between the organizations.

Join GCCA for the first Friday of the month for our NightShifts. Every month you can enjoy new gallery exhibitions, studio artists, performing arts series, demos, and more. It is free to attend and open to all ages. After you’ve visited, hop over to other open galleries and restaurants in the West Village or Downtown Greenville!

Time: 5:00 - 8:00pm

Two exceptions for the months of August and November:
- There will be no Nightshifts during the month of August as we will be combining it with Art Bash and Annual Showcase held on the 1st of the month.
- Nightshifts in November will be held on the 13th (the second Friday of the month & the week after our annual fundraiser).

Spring is in the Air: Join Us for the "Pure Flora" Opening Night

Celebrate the arrival of May and the launch of a landmark season at BMCA! Join us on Friday, May 1st, from 5:00 – 6:30 PM for the opening reception of Pure Flora: A Celebration of Botanical Beauty.

Be among the first to explore this diverse collection of botanical art as we officially kick off our 20th Anniversary celebration of Art in Bloom. This evening offers a unique chance to mingle with featured regional artists, hear the stories behind their work, and enjoy light refreshments in the company of fellow nature lovers. From intricate sculptures to bold photography, come discover how the natural world inspires our local creative community. Help us toast to two decades of art and nature in Black Mountain—we can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with you!

Celebrate Mother’s Day with creativity at this intimate watercolor workshop on Saturday, May 2nd, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Led by artist Melanie, this beginner-friendly session guides you through essential techniques to capture the beauty of a live floral still life. You’ll create three unique, professional-grade cards using premium materials provided on-site. Whether you come solo to craft a surprise gift or bring a companion along, it’s a perfect morning of artistic connection in Black Mountain. The Greer Farmers Market is excited to invite the community back to Greer City park in 2026 for their 11th season in Greer.
Core Season: Each Sunday, 11AM-2PM, April 26-October 4.

Food Programs: Greer Farmers Market is proud to be a SNAP Retailer and Healthy Bucks site. We have a Healthy Kids/POP Club Program where we offer produce vouchers and education for children at the market. We encourage anyone wanting to utilize these programs to join us during our market dates.
