Explore the Evolution of Paradise with Julianna Caro

"Join expert Julianna Caro at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts on June 26, 2026, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm for an illustrated exploration of garden history. This session of ""An Artful Journey"" traces the evolution of outdoor design, from the structured order of Roman villas and the geometric theaters of the Renaissance to the romantic ""Green Revolution"" of the British Landscape Movement. Discover how these European traditions crossed the Atlantic to shape iconic American landmarks like Central Park and the Biltmore Estate.

This community-focused event in the Swannanoa Valley offers a unique intersection of history, nature, and the creative process. Tickets are $25 and include coffee, tea, and fresh pastries to enjoy during the presentation."

Celebrate the Freshly Painted Works of Black Mountain

"Return to the gallery on June 26 (5 pm – 6:30 pm) to see the finished paintings created by the Plein Air artists during the Garden Tour. Meet the painters, enjoy complimentary refreshments, and celebrate the successful conclusion of our 20th annual fundraiser.

The WNC Sculpture Gallery will host an Artist Talk with Bill Stronach on Friday, June 27, 2026, at 5:00 PM, offering visitors an opportunity to hear directly from the longtime Lenoir artist about his exhibition on view from March 14 through June 27, 2026. Known for his thoughtful and technically skilled work in wood and metal, Stronach draws on decades of experience as both an artist and educator, exploring the challenges and character of natural materials through sculptural form. During the talk, Stronach will discuss his creative process, influences, and the evolution of his practice, providing insight into how craftsmanship, material honesty, and problem‑solving shape his work. The event will take place at the WNC Sculpture Gallery, located at 4612 Patterson School Drive in Lenoir, and is open to the public.

The Greer Farmers Market is excited to invite the community back to Greer City park in 2026 for their 11th season in Greer.

Our market serves a diverse shopper base consisting of young families, professionals, and seniors. The Greer Farmers Market is a non-profit 501c3 farmers market in the State of South Carolina. Our mission is to support local farmers, bakers, and hand-made businesses by providing an accessible platform to sell in-season items directly to Greer’s residents and visitors.
