EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
Unveiling of the “Nina Simone Childhood Home” Tribute Vessel
In a special artistic tribute to our local history – and with the blessings of the National Trust for Historic Preservation – the Eugenes have created a custom vessel featuring the likeness of the Nina Simone Childhood Home. The Eugenes are generously donating the vessel to TACS for auction.
A Special Presentation
We are pleased to announce that auction proceeds from the Nina Simone Childhood Home vessel will be shared between Tryon Arts & Crafts School and the Roseland Community Center in the historic Eastside of Tryon.
Dr. Warren Carson, President of the Roseland Community Center, will be present to accept this contribution offer on behalf of the Roseland, marking a special moment where the generosity of Winton and Rosa Eugene provides an opportunity to bring our organizations together.
