The "Dark City is raising its voice! Join us at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts on Saturday, April 18, for the return of The Dark City Speaks: An Evening of Poetry. This powerful collaboration between BMCA, the Friends of the Black Mountain Library, and the Dark City Poets Society brings together the best of our regional literary scene for one unforgettable night of verse.
The evening journey begins with fresh perspectives from local college students, followed by a dynamic performance from the Dark City Poets Society. The night culminates in readings from three of the region's most celebrated literary voices: David Brendan Hopes, Lockie Hunter, and Allan Wolf. Whether you are a lifelong lover of poetry or a newcomer to the spoken word, come experience the rhythm, heart, and storytelling that make our mountain community so unique.
