Join Literacy Together for an inspiring evening celebrating the power of words, learning, and community. Our 17th Annual Authors for Literacy Fundraiser welcomes writer, researcher, and entrepreneur Margot Lee Shetterly, author of the #1 New York Times bestseller, Hidden Figures.

Margot's work illuminates the barriers Black women in science had to break and how, with the support of colleagues, they expanded the boundaries of possibility in the workplace and beyond. Her keynote promises to be a memorable and moving capstone to a wonderful evening.

Schedule Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for mixing, mingling, and heavy hors d'oeuvres (gluten-free and vegetarian options available). The seated program begins at 6:30 p.m., featuring stories of impact from Literacy Together staff, students, and board, followed by the keynote address. A book signing, managed by Malaprop's Bookstore, will follow.
