The origin of the band Horse Feathers goes back to 2004, when frontman Justin Ringle moved to Portland, Oregon. The current lineup, with Nathan Crockett (violin, saw), Halli Anderson of River Whyless, (violin), Kati Claborn of Blind Pilot (banjo and clarinet) and Luke Ydstie, also of Blind Pilot (bass and cello) are celebrating the 20th of their debut album (recently re-issued), and will play The Grey Eagle in Asheville on Friday.
