WNC Sierra Club MAP (Music, Art and Policy) Series #2
WNC Sierra Club MAP (Music, Art and Policy) Series #2
Join the WNC Sierra Club for the second installment of our MAP (Music, Art and Policy) Series, featuring an evening of music, art and policy focused on turning inspiration into action. Each month we’re featuring young local leaders, artists and musicians who will share how their work is shaped by their passion for our planet.
Our featured guests for October are:
*Maggie Ullman, Asheville City Council Member, Asheville’s first Sustainability Director, and president of Ullman Consulting, a non-profit and philanthropy consultancy focused on equitable solutions to climate change.
*Zaq Suarez, local musician and songwriter and founder of Open Folk AVL, a free weekly musical showcase.
*Scott “Doc” Varn, local artist and executive director of Preserving a Picturesque America, which aims to preserve historic and natural spaces through the power of art.
Admission is free; donations welcome.
WNC Sierra Club’s MAP Series will take place on the second Monday of each month through the end of the year. Our third event will be held Nov. 13, and our final event of the year will be held Dec. 11.
