The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of damage being done to our native Hemlock trees by the invasive bug, the Hemlock Woolly Adelgid. The event will feature live music, food, crafts for sale, outreach by conservation groups, Hemlock awareness presentations, t-shirt sales and door prizes.

The goal of Carolina Hemlocks is to protect hemlocks that are primarily located in the Upstate of South Carolina. This is done by outreach presentations to school and civic groups about the Hemlock Wooly Adelgid problem, as well as physically treating infected hemlocks.
