Run for Outreach - Tryon Half Marathon and Fall For The Foothills 5K - 11/15
Run for Outreach, formerly known as the Tryon Half Marathon, was originally held near Harmon Field in Tryon, North Carolina. In 2024, following Hurricane Helene, the event transitioned to a virtual format, similar to 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2025 half marathon will be hosted at Tryon International, a venue known for its runner-friendly trails; ideal for first-time half marathoners and those who prefer a softer surface without committing to a full trail run. Established in 2014, Tryon International spans 1,600 acres divided by the Green River, with trails that wind through open glades and a scenic equestrian cross-country course.
In addition to the half marathon, Run for Outreach includes a 5K run/walk and a Fun. All races should be enjoyed to their fullest! Dress up in costumes, run solo or in a group - family, friends, co-workers, and church members all welcome.
During your visit, explore 14 vendor cabins, 20 WNC Main Street vendors, seven restaurants, and the on-site General Store.
Expect crisp fall temperatures and a picturesque route that meanders along riverside paths through Tryon’s renowned horse country. With a mix of paved roads, packed dirt, and gravel trails, this 13.1-mile course offers a memorable experience for runners of all levels.
