Old Fort, NC – The Trails and Trains Association, in collaboration with Destination McDowell, and support from Blue Ridge National Heritage Area and the Jazz Foundation of America is thrilled to announce the launch of Trails and Trains 2025 with an exciting evening of music at Rails & Rhythms Bluegrass Night on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

Despite the challenges faced by the Old Fort community in the wake of Hurricane Helene, the town is resilient, rallying together to rebuild and support local businesses. This special evening in downtown Old Fort serves as a tribute to the strength of the community. All are welcome to gather, celebrate, and enjoy live music by local and award-winning musicians, support Old Fort business, and enjoy dinner at a downtown restaurant.

This free event encourages attendees to bring their own chairs, eat dinner at one of Old Fort’s local restaurants, and enjoy a night of award winning music rooted here in Western North Carolina.
