Opening Reception for Chimney Rock State Park Art Show and Benefit - 6/26

Opening Reception for Chimney Rock State Park Art Show and Benefit - 6/26

Help support one of North Carolina’s most iconic natural landmarks!

On September 27 of 2024, Tropical Storm Helene ravaged Western North Carolina, literally washing away whole communities, including the town of Chimney Rock. After eight long months, Chimney Rock State Park plans to reopen to the public on June 27, however the park still needs much support.

In an effort to help restore this beautiful and historic site, PAPA is hosting a fundraiser to directly support Chimney Rock State Park restoration efforts. We are joining forces with local artists – many of whom were affected by Helene themselves – to host an art show where the art sale proceeds will benefit Chimney Rock. Paintings and other works of art depicting Chimney Rock, pre-Helene, will be available for sale through July 31 on the PAPA website, as well as at the Preserving A Picturesque America Gallery at Saluda Studios in Saluda, North Carolina.

On June 26 at 6 p.m., we will host an opening reception with all of the beautiful artwork displayed and attendees will be able to enjoy an evening of music, art and storytelling. They will also have an opportunity to meet Chimney Rock State Park rangers, who will share about the current status and future goals for the state park.

Join us to celebrate and support this beautiful WNC landmark and the momentous occasion of its reopening to the public!
