Formed in 1938 by band leader Glenn Miller, the orchestra became a major force in popular music during the swing era. The ensemble achieved widespread acclaim with a series of enduring hits and performed extensively for both civilian audiences and military troops during World War II. Following Miller's disappearance in 1944 during his military service, the band's legace continued with the support of the Glenn Miller Estate. Today, the orchestra performs under the direction of Erik Stabnau with vocalist Jenny Swoish and features a 16-member ensemble.
