Global Fishing Watch is an organization that is revolutionizing ocean monitoring and analysis with a focus on transparency. Global Fishing Watch uses cutting-edge technology to turn big data into actionable information. They believe that human activity at sea should be common knowledge in order to safeguard the global ocean for the good of all. This event will include an hour presentation on Global Fishing Watch from Paul Whitaker followed by a Q&A period.
This talk will be live, in person, 7-8PM at Lenoir-Rhyne University located at 36 Montford Ave. This will also be available online through Zoom for registrants. It is free and open to the public (but please register to hold your place). The doors will open at 6:30 for those attending in person.
