Fiddling on the Hill: Traditional Jam Session - Tuesday August 30
Fiddling on the Hill: Traditional Jam Session - Tuesday August 30
The Ramsey Center is excited to announce that we are launching a monthly traditional music jam session, with the support of a generous grant from the Madison County Tourism Development Authority. Each month, two regional musicians will join us to lead a jam session of traditional mountain tunes. These events are open to all - you're welcome to stroll by, take a seat and listen, or rosin up your bow and join on in! The jam will be outside on Lunsford Commons, which is the main quad of the university. In the event of bad weather, we will move indoors to the museum, also on the quad.
The first session, on Tuesday August 30, 5-7 pm, will be hosted by master musicians Roger Howell and Jerry Sutton - a real treat, and something you won't want to miss! Other dates are: September 20, October 18, November 15, December 6, January 17, February 21, March 14, April 11, May 16, June 13, July 11
