Cultivating Collections: Glass
Cultivating Collections is a multi-year series of exhibitions highlighting specific areas of the WCU Fine Art Museum’s permanent collection. In this year’s exhibition, student researchers tell the stories of the Museum’s glass collection, which includes a range of artists who have made significant contributions to the Studio Glass Movement in Western North Carolina.
This gallery highlights a range of artists who have connections to the history of glass in Western North Carolina. Many of them made significant contributions to the Studio Glass Movement and are teachers, mentors, and innovators who have inspired other artists to work in glass.
Museum Hours
The WCU Fine Art Museum exhibitions and events are free and open to the public. Standard Museum hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10AM-4PM, and Thursday, 10AM-7PM. If you have any questions, please call (828)227-ARTS.
Reception Details
Reception for the exhibition will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 5-7PM. Light refreshments and drinks will be served at BAC's Star Atrium.
