"After the Wind Came" Book Launch
"After the Wind Came" Book Launch
A short reading by Hanna Kutteh, author of the new book After the Wind Came, followed by a hands-on activity for families, educators, and community members of all ages!
This event is organized in collaboration with FIRSTwnc, a nonprofit providing resource for people with disabilities and their families, including training, advocacy, and support services in Western North Carolina.
Following the devastation of Hurricane Helene, Hanna felt called to write After the Wind Came as both a personal act of healing and a gift to her community. Just as she often creates social stories for her clients, this book was born from her desire to transform grief into connection and hope.
Hanna Kutteh is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) certified by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors. She holds a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Carolina University and a BFA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design. In her role at FIRSTwnc, Hanna provides counseling for children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and children with trauma histories.
The organizer of this event marked it kid-friendly. 😛
