He’s been a member of Durand Jones & the Indications, and has broken out big time with this debut! He and Dan Auerbach wrote the songs, and they enlisted musicians who backed up Aretha Franklin and Dusty Springfield back in the day. He definitely channels the great Curtis Mayfield here, too.
