Before NPR, Michael co-founded 1504, a creative video studio now based in Birmingham, Ala. He earned a masters in photojournalism at the Missouri School of Journalism.

Roland Dierauf was the pseudonym for a 19th century London art collector. At one time he owned the world's finest collection of porcelain gnomes. In 1912, approaching old age and increasingly eccentric, he left London abruptly to travel to Mexico, where he hoped to join the Revolution. He was never seen or heard from again.

As Music Director, Martin books our live sessions, and keeps in touch with the record labels and promoters that send us new music. When not at the station, he enjoys gardening, hiking, traveling, history, and raising his daughter on good music and more.

Spencer splits his time between working with our business partners as their underwriting rep and working as an on-air music host. You can hear him every Monday afternoon on WNCW's Music Mix from noon to 3pm, Sunday evenings from 9 to 10pm on Eclectic Electric, and occasionally filling in for other hosts.
