WNCW Offering FREE On-Air and Website Love To Our Musicians Who Are Streaming Live Music

Apr 16, 2020

A message for WNCW friends, fans, listeners and musicians: Beginning today, April 16, WNCW will be giving shout outs, free of charge, to our musicians who are streaming live music.

Folks worldwide are looking for ways to help and we want to help too. We've come up with a cool plan: Give free announcements to our phenomenal musicians, who are streaming live sessions. There are a lot of creative music-makers out there and we need to support them! They have been there for us more than 30 years; Without them, there would be no WNCW. So, let's get to it - Help spread the word!

It's super simple: Email cathy@wncw.org with your event. We suspect we'll be super busy with requests. Please make sure you get the info to us, preferably a week before your live streaming event. The free shout out will be featured on the air and on our website. Please share posts!

"We recognize how hard this pandemic has hit artists and their livelihoods in particular, and we all want them to be able to continue doing what they do so well," said Music Director Martin Anderson. "Live webstreams are a way to not only enjoy their music, but support them with "virtual tip jars" during the sessions."

The world is a different place due to the coronavirus pandemic. It's definintely a trying time indeed. We're there for you. Here's to positive thoughts, good vibes and great music! Share the love, thank you and hang in there.
