Haley Walker

Haley was born and raised in the small town of Casar, NC. She grew up on country music, sweet tea, and church on Sundays. She graduated from Gardner-Webb University in May of 2018, with a Bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism. While in college, she hosted a weekly radio show called “Classic Country with Haley” on WGWG Gardner-Webb Radio. She also interned with Beasley Media of Charlotte in the summer of 2017.

Fast forward a few years, and Haley is now a mother to a son named Luca, and hopes to instill in him her love for music. She hosts a weekly music mix at WNCW on Tuesday nights.

“WNCW has opened a new world for me. I’ve been introduced to music genres I never explored before; like World, Celtic and Newgrass. I’ve learned so much already in my short time here. I’m super excited to be a part of the WNCW family, and can’t wait to see what the future may hold.” -Haley

Haley mixes the best of Americana, Blues, Jazz, Alternative, Funk, Electronica & Reggae genres, bridging the gap between the daytime shows & ARC Overnight.
