Corrie Askew
Mountain Mornings Host and ProducerNew York born, Texas adolescent, now North Carolina transplant, Corrie Askew is gratefully WNCW’s newest self described "whelp." Askew graduated from Appalachian State University, in Boone, NC with a degree in Electronic Media and Broadcast in May 2019 - that following August, she moved to Spindale, NC. In a fit of fun coincidences... the coincidence of there being a radio station within three minutes of her home, attractive proximity, and a genuine interest in radio led to Corrie volunteering at WNCW for a couple of months before being hired as a fill-in Morning Edition host and producer. In February of 2021 she became host of WNCW's bluegrass and old-time music focused show Mountain Mornings.
