After winning an Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe and Critic’s Choice awards for his 2010 song “The Weary Kind" from the movie Crazy Heart, some of us expected Ryan Bingham to perhaps move in a more polished, commercial/corporate direction with his music, which often translates to songs without as much substance, passion, or both. Not so. He left Lost Highway Records, started his own imprint, and is doing things his way. His 2012 release Tomorrowland was a reasonably good effort according to some, but this new one seems poised to be even stronger. A critic for SavingCountryMusic.com calls it "the perfect experience for the classic rock buff hiding in every country and Americana fan." Get to know it on Thursday night.
