"Barnheart", by Jenna Woginrich. WNCW reporter Stina Sieg interviews the author about her move from the urban environment to her quest for a place to become a homesteader, farmer, and a young woman who is self-sufficient. This is the laugh-out-loud funny and poignant memoir of her struggles and her triumphs at Cold Antler Farm in upstate New York.

The Second Annual Sustainable Viticulture Conference is open to anyone who is interested and will feature Phillip Hart, owner/winemaker of AmByth Estates in Templeton, California, who will discuss growing grapes bio-dynamically. Friday, February 10th at 11AM: Solas

This Friday we are pleased to welcome one of the most played bands of traditional Irish music heard on WNCW -- or on just about any other station for that matter.  The 5-piece band Solas has evolved it's lineup over the years, consistently maintaining their adherence to tradition while branching out in contemporary directions.  They play Clover this Thursday and Asheville on Friday.
