The Flying Cloud Band in Concert
The Flying Cloud Band in Concert
The Flying Cloud Band plays an acoustic mix of old-time folk and jazz, country, R&B, and Rock-N-Roll.…basically American Music. Six players, all who sing and each of whom takes a solo turn thusly. Our hope is that you'll sing, dance, tap, or just kick back and enjoy along with the band!
Members include:
• Helen Charbonneau - Asheville native and retired teacher, Helen plays the violin.
• James Kamp - semi-retired physical therapist, James plays guitar and writes a few.
• Jim Farmer - retired county road man and another local, Jim plays percussion and some guitar and bass and writes some as well.
• Will Hamilton - retired Fairview and Bat Cave doctor, Will mans the ukulele.
• John Mycroft - another retired teacher, John plays the doghouse bass.
• Dan Tanner - the retired scientist in the group (the rest of us aren't exactly sure what he did), Dan plays harmonica.
The Flying Cloud Band will be playing Saturday, July 16, from 6:30 to 9:00 pm at The Flood Gallery, 850 Blue Ridge Road in Black Mountain. It's an intimate home-like setting with great art everywhere, and plenty of free parking! Suggested donation is $10, but no one will be turned away!
