WNC Sierra Club Talking about Beautiful Hiking Trails Around Asheville - 5/1

WNC Sierra Club Talking about Beautiful Hiking Trails Around Asheville - 5/1

Western North Carolina is a hiker’s paradise. With so much land protected by National and State Forests and Parks, those who live in the Asheville area have endless hiking opportunities. Best of all, they can experience amazing views, waterfalls, wildflowers, and quiet forest paths without traveling very far. At 7 pm on May 1, the WNC Sierra Club will learn more about where to go and what to see when you are ready to head out and hike.

All WNC Sierra Club meetings are free and open to the public, both in person at the OLLI/Reuter Center on UNCA’s Campus Drive and on Zoom. The Zoom connection can be found on WNCSierraClub.org.

Marcia Bromberg, the evening’s guide, is a retired university administrator who moved to Asheville to enjoy the spectacular WNC mountains. When she’s not hiking (including leading hikes for the Carolina Mountain Club), she spends her time swimming, gardening, and volunteering for various community organizations. She serves on the boards of the Friends of the Mountains to the Sea Trail and MANNA Foodbank and is past president of the Carolina Mountain Club.
