The WINDJAMMERS is a seven piece jazz band playing music, mainly from the 1920's and 30's, in the Spirit of New Orleans. The admission is free but a contribution to Spartanburg Mobile Meals would be appreciated. Instrumentation includes: trumpet, trombone, clarinet, drums, tuba, piano and banjo. The band has played around Spartanburg for over 30 years and played in the WNCW studio years ago when Charles Benedict had his Saturday program "It Don't Mean a Thing ( If It ain't Got That Swing)".
