Spartanburg Philharmonic Zimmerli Series: Dvořák - "From The New World" - Sat, Sep 16
The Spartanburg Philharmonic opens its monumental 95th Season with the brave and bold Symphony From the New World under the baton of new Music Director, John Young Shik Concklin.
Dvořák's Symphony no. 9, opus 95 is filled with dancing Czech rhythms and familiar American folk melodies. The concert will open with a newly commissioned work by Spartanburg’s own Peter B. Kay followed by Xavier Foley’s Soul Bass, an extraordinary work for solo double bass and orchestra!
