Songwriter Soup Series with The Actors Center of Asheville Launching June 14
A Celebration of Music, Community, and Creative Resilience

Asheville, NC — June 1, 2025 — Lamplight AVL proudly presents the Songwriter Soup Series, a three-part artist residency hosted by acclaimed Asheville songwriter Kellin Watson, held at The Actors Center of Asheville.

Launching June 14, this unique concert series features intimate performances by some of the region’s most dynamic and respected songwriters, sharing the stage in a collaborative, round-style format.

Each evening blends music, storytelling, and heart—offering audiences a rare look into the songwriting process while fostering deep community connections.

Proceeds from the Songwriter Soup Series will help rebuild The Actors Center of Asheville’s scholarship fund and support recovery efforts after the loss of its black box theater during Hurricane Helene.

This series is made possible by Lamplight AVL, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering artists by providing space, time, and resources to create meaningful, innovative work that uplifts the Asheville community.
