Jack Lawrence joined up with Doc Watson in 1983, beginning a three decades long friendship that would cement Lawrence as one of the world’s best flat-pickers, accompanying Doc until the end of his career including on the Grammy Award-winning album “On Praying Ground”. During Doc Watson’s final show at Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte, NC, Doc was not only joined by Jack Lawrence, but also by Jack’s son, Adam. Now in celebration of what would have been Doc’s 100th birthday, Jack with help from his son, Charlotte Bluegrass All-Stars, & some very special guests perform “For the Love of Doc” a concert remembering the music of the great Doc Watson.
