Creating Inclusive School–Family Partnerships - 2/28
Celebrate the release of Let’s Normalize Seeing Humanity First with Dani Parker Moore, featuring a discussion about building more equitable, humanity-centered school-community relationships.
Dr. Parker Moore will lead a discussion that includes readings from the book, time for audience questions, and a book signing; the conversation will be framed by key themes from the book, including:
Why current approaches to engaging families fall short and how centering humanity can transform relationships between schools, parents, and communities.
Actionable strategies educators, administrators, and community leaders can use to build more inclusive, anti-racist partnerships with families.
Let’s Normalize Seeing Humanity First: An Anti-Racist Guide for Working with Parents and Families in Schools is for educators, community advocates, and anyone committed to racial justice in education. In it, Dr. Parker Moore reimagines what school–family partnerships can look like when they are grounded in equity, empathy, and humanity.
