Boonerang Music & Arts Festival celebrates Boone, North Carolina with a free downtown street festival. This community homecoming brings Boone-connected artists and fans together every third weekend in June to Boonerang back to the place we love.

The 2023 festival kicks off with a celebration of Doc Watson at the Appalachian Theatre in downtown Boone on June 15, featuring the Kruger Brothers, Jeff Little Trio, and Burnett Sisters. June 16 features a free concert with Ashley Heath & Her Heathens, Will Easter and the Nomads, and the Larry Keel Experience, followed by a silent disco. Saturday, June 16, will feature live music all day, an arts market, a kids zone, a dance lot, an international celebration, and multiple performance stages. Local beer and food will be available on the streets and in local restaurants. Saturday's acts include Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band, Abby Bryant & the Echoes, Jonathan Scales Fourchestra, Dashawn Hickman, Carolina Ramble Review, Carolina Reapers, Liam Purcell and Cane Mill Road, and many more.
