Laurelyn Dossett and Kari Sickenberger host a women’s weekend of harmony singing and songwriting at the historic Meadowlark Motel in Maggie Valley, NC.

Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8
plus Easter Sunday gospel sing and brunch

Sometimes the gals just need to get together and sing! Join Laurelyn and Kari for singing and songwriting workshops Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. Concerts both Friday and Saturday evening, free to workshop participants.

Weekend workshop cost $375 per person, includes dinner Saturday and all classes and concerts Friday and Saturday.
Room rate $109 per night.

Kari Sickenberger and Laurelyn Dossett are founding members of the roots-Americana band, Polecat Creek. They have performed at numerous festivals across the country, including Merlefest, and have been featured guests on A Prairie Home Companion. Their recordings include Salt Sea Bound, Leaving Eden, and Ordinary Seasons. They have been singing and teaching together for 25 years.

Friday check-in available at 1pm.

Group workshop 2-5 pm. (First hour all-group sing, second two hours split between folks who want to sing and folks who want to do songwriting.)

Break 5-7

7-9 pm Evening songwriter round with Kari, Laurelyn and friends

Folks can sing or jam late if they like.
Saturday
Breakfast 8-9:30

Workshops go 10-12:30

Concert 7:30-9 with Kari and Laurelyn and friends.
