Armando Bellmas
Armando Bellmas
Armando Bellmas was born and raised in Miami, where he worked at public and commercial radio while in college. He made his way to North Carolina in the mid-90s to live in Asheville and work at WNCW. He was the music director here for four years, then moved on to work in marketing and non-profits. He’s back at WNCW as a fill-in host, and currently leads operations at an artist residency in Charlotte and produces the daily music newsletter, Ecléctico.
Joe Greene
Joe Greene
Joe is an alumnus of ICC and, after a nearly 30-year radio broadcasting career, has come home to WNCW. He was part of the planning of our WNCW facility before the first brick was laid and since then has worked at radio stations across the Carolinas and Virginia. His career took him to heritage radio stations in places like Charlotte, Greenville, SC, Roanoke, VA and smaller towns like Shelby and North Wilkesboro.

Paul Foster

Joe Kendrick
Joe Kendrick
Joe Kendrick grew up far off in the woods in rural Stanfield, NC, where he acquired his first Sony Walkman, listened to both AM and FM radio from Charlotte, went to Nascar races at Charlotte Motor Speedway, attended a small Baptist church, read Rolling Stone, subscribed to cassette clubs, and played one very forgettable season of high school football. From there, Joe studied Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was able to fulfill his dream of being a disc jockey at WXYC. He volunteered at WNCW soon after graduation.

Pat Jobe
Pat Jobe
Pat Jobe is a lifelong journalist. He wrote his first newspaper story when he was 14. He is married to Gabriele Rissmeyer and between them, they have children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, foster children, and passionate causes. Jobe is in his 18th year of broadcasting for WNCW and in 2006 spun a brief career in television with a show on local access cable and Free Speech Television called The Connection Independent Television. The TV show connected him to Ms. Rissmeyer who saw it while stuck in a snowstorm in New Mexico. He currently serves The Unitarians of Lake Norman and All Souls Community as minister of the two congregations.
Mark Hauser
Mark Hauser
Connecticut native Mark Hauser has visited forty-nine states and lived in six, but he hit the cosmic lottery in late 2018 when his family had the opportunity to move to Fields, Oregon, population 17. Prior to relocating to the high desert Mark resided in Mauldin, South Carolina for 26 years while working as the play-by-play radio voice for the now defunct Greenville Braves and the Wofford College football and men's basketball teams. Hauser, his wife Jennifer, and adult children Samantha and Emma got to know Mark's "Radio Free Bubba" brother Pat Jobe as members of the Greenville Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Mark's most cherished professional honor was being named to the Wofford Athletic Hall of Fame, but he'll tell you being a Bubba is a bigger deal. Mark began broadcasting Radio Free Bubba stories in the summer of 2023.
