Snakes and Stars is a brand new musical creation of Michael Travis (The String Cheese Incident, EOTO) and Aaron Johnston (Brazilian Girls, David Byrne’s American Utopia) plus special guest Sam Brouse of Papadosio!

Long time friends and collaborators, Michael and Aaron were looking for new avenues of musical creation when Michael reached out to share a concept for a new Electronic Duo.

They got together to check it out and it worked! It worked very, very well. The musical visions synchronized effortlessly and Snakes and Stars was born.

​​The Sound: Snakes and Stars consists of two of live music’s top drummers exploring various idioms of electronic and dance music in a live, improvisational format. While DJs play previous recorded tracks Snakes and Stars plays everything live and makes up the songs as they go. Relying on a combined 60 years of live music experience, Travis and Johnston utilize vocals, synthesizers, electronic pads and triggers, drum kit, guitar, bass and samples to create a one of a kind musical experience in the moment.

Rohan Prakash, better known by his electrifying stage persona ROHAN SOLO, has emerged as a bass music powerhouse from Atlanta, GA. Launching the ROHAN SOLO project in early 2020, Rohan has quickly become known for his ingenious blend of live drums, percussion, and on-the-fly original mixes. His foray into deep and freeform bass music is characterized by cinematic soundscapes, robust bass drops, and refined production, all harmoniously intertwined with live instrumentation.

Rohan has been an integral part of bands such as Higher Learning, Space Kadet, and HIVE MIND, demonstrating his adaptability across various musical landscapes. As a drummer and percussionist, he’s collaborated and performed on stage with notable names such as Manic Focus, Marvel Years, Maddy O’Neal, Papadosio, Sunsquabi and Lotus.

Rohan has graced numerous festival stages, including Hulaween, Camp Bisco, Wakarusa, Sweetwater 420 Fest, and Hangout Fest. Under the project Rohan Solo- Rohan has shared the stage with some of bass music’s celebrated artists like Mersiv, Wreckno, Minnesota, The Floozies, Daily Bread, Zeke Beats, VCTRE, Black Carl , Saka, Phyphr, and Vincent Antone. Stand out festivals include massive sets at both Hulaween 2021 and 2023. Hulaween 2023 – Rohan invited Jason Leech and Jon Grusakas from Lespecial to debut the ROHAN SOLO live band , further cementing his status in the music scene.

2024 is already proving to be a significant year as Rohan Solo collaborated with hip-hop legends Khujo Goodie from GOODIE MOB and Young Buck from G-Unit… ROHAN SOLO, offers more than just music; he delivers a comprehensive sensory experience that reflects his deep-rooted passion for music and his exceptal ability to engage audiences.
