FROM THE ARTIST Scott Dergins

In the last year, Scott has been sketching and painting nearly every day for fun and
relaxation in the evening. This has created a new way of sharing and also selling his creations.
Scott develops rough sketches on illustration board using acrylic paint and highlighting the
artwork with pen and ink. Inspiration comes from the study of abstract artists, especially
Calder, Miro, Picasso and Mondrian and the love of Mid Century Modern architectural style!
Scott is a Graduate of Kendall College of Art & Design, professional furniture designer, Morganton, Nc.
There are showings and sales at The Burke Arts Council and Vintage Blue in Hickory.

The gallery is part of the Play It Again Records Building.
