Live Wednesday June 17th at 1pm: THE HIP ABDUCTION

This Afro-pop/alt-rock outfit from Tampa/St. Pete brings some of that glorious Florida sunshine up to our area with a Wednesday night show at New Mountain in Asheville, and a live session in Studio B that afternoon. Their West African kora and ngoni, reggae rhythms, catchy hooks, and warm, positive message made their 2013 album a Top 10 pick among more than a couple WNCW hosts.
