Asheville's riverside parks were affected by Tropical Depression Fred.

The remnants from Tropical Storm Fred caused flooding that hammered some seven counties in the Western NC Mountains. The events from August 17th are still affecting many citizens who have dealt with the loss of homes, property, and even loved ones. Asheville Citizen Times Reporter Joel Burgess provided an update.
