There is no cure for AIDS currently and there is no HIV vaccine, yet. The National Institutes of Health says that, "Safe, effective , and affordable vaccines that can prevent HIV are the best hope for controlling and/or ending the AIDS epidemic."

I spoke with Tracey Jackson, Executive Director at Piedmont Cares, Inc. about how long the AIDS epidemic has been a part of everyday life in the U.S., the current treatments and the lack of a permanent cure. We also discussed the need for an HIV vaccine.  Tune in to hear the latest in the war against HIV and AIDS in this country and around the world.
