According to Studio B Rewind Host Kim Clark, we've got a blockbuster show this weekend and the action begins at 7pm. "From the archives, we'll have Robert Walter's 20th Congress in session at the old Asheville, NC Music Zone in 2001," said Clark.  "Also, in remembrance of the late Peter Tork, we'll hear him and his band Shoe Suede Blues in Studio B in 2005.

The Steep Canyon Rangers performed live on our airwaves this past January, just as they were re-emerging from a well-deserved rest following a busy and successful year of touring on their own, as well as with Steve Martin.

We'll hear the ethereal songs and extraordinary harmonies of the Shook Twins, who were here in support of their new album “Some Good Lives,” said SBR Host Kim Clark. "Then we'll come down to earth with the blues rock of Frank Bang & the Secret Stash with good friend and musician Dan Johnston." We're always havin' a good time in Studio B at WNCW and we like to relive/revive/rewind and share those musical moments with you every Sunday evening at 7pm on Studio B Rewind.

SBR Host Kim Clark says we'll take a trip back in time and listen to Chatham County Line during this week's show. The band's session was recorded in November of 2018 at the Don Gibson Theater in Shelby, NC. The Raleigh, NC based group played songs from its traditional/roots music catalog and previewed an upcoming all-covers album.

Walsh's latest album is “The Midnight Strain.” He and his band mates played songs from it, live in Studio B, on the eve of its release last year. We'll also feature a session from singer/songwriter Elise Davis, showcasing her new album “Cactus,” in our studio this past November. Studio B Rewind airs every Sunday at 7pm with your Host Kim Clark.

Studio B Rewind Host Kim Clark says the focus on this week's show is on domestic bliss and acoustic roots music. "We'll listen to The Appalucians, two talented Western NC couples who met at their kids' preschool, in Studio B playing songs from their debut album Bright Hills plus the husband-and-wife duo Birds of Chicago, said Clark. "They got together in Chicago, now live in Nashville, and stopped by our studio as part of their tour in support of the new release Love In Wartime."

Studio B Rewind - Sundays at 7pm With Kim Clark.

This week we're going to reach back into the archives to listen to some past sessions with artists who currently have new albums on our playlist. Studio Be Rewind Host Kim Clark is bringing us two sessions this weekend, both produced earlier this year by WNCW Sound Engineer Sean Rubin. On Sunday, Nov. 25th at 7pm, catch the music of the honky tonk - roots group, Yellow Feather. The group is based in Old Fort, NC in the Blue Ridge Mountains. One of the incredible recordings from this session ended up being featured on our 2018 Crowd Around The Mic CD Set.

Join us at 7pm Sunday for Studio B Rewind - Courtney Marie Andrews's latest album “May Your Kindness Remain” got rave reviews from multiple music media sources after it was released earlier this year. She and her band played some songs from it for us live from the Mothlight in Asheville, NC this past March. We loved it so much, we featured a song from the session, on our new Crowd Around The Mic Volume 22.

The Charleston-based band The Artisanals' self-titled debut album blends 70s rock, alt-Americana-and great songwriting, and they played songs from it live for us when they were in Studio B last month. We'll re-visit that session this week on Studio B Rewind and we'll also check out a session with Banjo Nickaru and Western Scooches, an outfit that's as delightfully quirky as they sound. Join Kim Clark every Sunday evening at 7pm for Studio B Rewind.
