Three men laughing in a recording studio

Studio B Rewind Host and Producer Kim Clark says we'll hear session clips from two of our absolute favorite performers, Malcolm Holcombe and Greg Brown, who played music together in our studio back in August 2019. "Not only are they great singer/songwriters, they're great guys, too," said Clark.

We'll have LIVE music coming your way Saturday afternoon when Goin' Across The Mountain Host Todd Baldwin welcomes Carolina Divide to WNCW. The band members hail from both North Carolina and South Carolina, and as they say - "hence the name." They're known for their love of traditional, gospel and bluegrass tunes. We're excited to share a live session featuring these multitalented, local artists whose sound is unmistakenly deeply rooted in the south and in Appalachian music.

Live Saturday, July 27th between Noon & 1pm: Backline

More live bluegrass coming your way from Studio B, as this 5-piece Spartanburg, SC band pays us a visit. As most of the band members grew up in "Mill Hill Towns" such as Pacolet, Glendale, Spartanburg etc., they took their name from a term often used during the booming textile era of our region. Learn more about it, and the band, this Saturday on "Goin' Across the Mountain!"

Our favorite blues singer/bassist/gas can guitarist from Pelzer, SC returns to Studio B this week! It's always a blast catching up with Mac about his memories of playing with Muddy Waters and James Brown back in the day, and all the various projects he and his band are involved with here in the Carolinas these days.  Their upcoming gigs  include Sierra Nevada on Wednesday, the Spinning Jenny on Friday, and Sparkle City Rhythm & Ribs in Spartanburg on Saturday the 1st.

Spartanburg Herald-Journal Reporter Bob Dalton was responsible for a gripping story called 'Victims of Child Abuse - Walk Unnoticed Among Us Every Day.'  Dalton came to the mic during this edition of WNCW's More to the Story from May 8, 2019.  In South Carolina, Spartanburg County is one of the leading counties in the state for cases of child sex abuse.
