While the word had already been spreading, WNCW and Concert Promoter Steve Johnson made it official that an Earl Scruggs Music Festival was coming next year.  There was no better place for the announcement than at the recent IBMA Awards held in Raleigh, NC.  The Inaugural Earl Scruggs Music Festival will take place Labor Day Weekend, 2020, at The Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, NC. WNCW's Joe Kendrick sat down with Johnson at the IBMA's to discuss the event.  The conversation first aired Oct. 4, 2019.
